Position Summary
Savion is seeking a highly motivated M&A Senior Manager to support the origination and execution of sell-side development-stage transactions across the country and at varying stages in the project lifecycle. This role will primarily focus on the disposition of early-, mid-, and late-stage renewable energy projects, partnering closely with development, finance, and legal teams. The role will also involve some targeted acquisition opportunities to help fill gaps in Savion’s development pipeline. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of M&A execution capability, commercial experience, , project finance and financial modeling skills.
Responsibilities
- Support sell-side and buy-side execution of development-stage renewable and powered land M&A transactions
- Assist in structuring and negotiating NDAs, LOIs, MIPAs/APAs, and JV agreements
- Lead diligence across development, interconnection, permitting, and commercial workstreams
- Coordinate across internal teams to advance transactions
- Support counterparty engagement and data room management
- Track deal milestones and risks
- Contribute to portfolio optimization decisions
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, engineering, or related field
- 5–10 years of experience in renewables, M&A or project finance
- Experience supporting acquisitions, divestitures, or JVs
- Knowledge of project development lifecycle
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience at a developer or IPP
- Prior deal ownership or co-lead experience
- Exposure to development-stage risk evaluation
- Familiarity with MIPA, APA, build transfer, and JV structures
- Experience working with developers, investors, and advisors
