Internship Details
The Savion Market Strategy & Analysis team is looking for a paid summer intern for Geographic Information Systems (GIS) related work in our Kansas City office. Candidates must be currently in the process of obtaining a degree related to Geography, Geology, Environmental Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Renewables, or other applicable areas.
As an intern, you will perform meaningful, hands-on work that supports the siting process for evaluating renewable energy projects.

Position Responsibilities
- Assist with the integration of multiple sources of data utilizing GIS tools to develop maps and analysis.
- Assist with quality assurance of Market Strategy & Analysis products for internal clients.
- Assist with mapping and cartography to produce analysis among our internal teams.
- Other duties as assigned from the Senior Manager of the Market Strategy and Analysis team.
Position Requirements
- At least 2 years of undergraduate studies, with strong academic success.
- Current enrollment in a program with a focus in Business, Geography, Geology, Environmental Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Renewables, or other applicable area.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Interest in renewable energy development.
- Actively involved in campus, community, or other volunteer activities and organizations.
- Basic experience with Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Location
Hybrid: Kansas City Missouri – Headquarters with monthly stipend for relocation to Kansas City for the duration of the summer internship
