Internship Details

Savion is seeking a self-starting and highly motivated undergraduate or graduate student in Business Management, Business Administration, Economics, Business Analytics, Energy Management and/or Project Management from an accredited university to fill an Asset Management Summer 2026 Intern position.  The candidate will complete a variety of tasks while being trained and mentored by our team of asset management experts. This position is open to all qualified individuals who desire to work with Savion’s dynamic development team in our Kansas City office.

Position Responsibilities

The candidate will report to a Senior Asset Manager who is heavily involved in daily operations and management of Savion’s operational utility scale solar and wind portfolio.  The candidate will assist the Savion Asset Management team in performing their daily activities.  In addition to the daily interactions with members of the Asset Management team, the candidate will have regular opportunities to collaborate with Savion’s numerous subject matter experts as well as external 3rd parties that support operations across the portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Project Engagement: attend project team calls and meetings with asset managers and other team leaders
  • Energy Management: support daily management of Savion’s energy market positions and hedging strategies
  • Contract Management: assist team in ensuring compliance with operational contracts
  • AI Integration: identify areas where the team could benefit from the use of AI
  • Data Analytics: analyzing a wide range of operational data from projects to drive decision-making and process improvements
  • Financial Analysis: work with Savion accounting to optimize monitoring and reporting of financial performance for operational assets
  • Joint Venture Support: assist with daily / monthly tasks related to Savion’s Joint Ventures
  • Presentation: Summarize and present internship accomplishments and learnings

Job Requirements

  • At least a junior level undergraduate student in pursuit of a degree in Business-related fields
  • Emphasis in Energy Markets and Energy Management is a plus
  • A minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft software – Excel, Word, Power-Point, etc. is required.
  • Working knowledge of AI software and integration is a plus
  • Must have good analytical, decision-making, communication, creative problem-solving, and human relations skills
  • Must be organized, self-motivated and capable of working both independently and in group settings.

Location

Hybrid: Kansas City Missouri – Headquarters with monthly stipend for relocation to Kansas City for the duration of the summer internship
