Savion, LLC, a dynamic renewable energy developer, is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to join our Information Technology department.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, maintain, and monitor IT infrastructure, servers, applications, network devices, and other IT equipment
  • Research, evaluate, recommend, and procure software and hardware products
  • Perform regular system administration tasks including backups, software patches and upgrades, system monitoring, and directory services administration
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure, server, and application issues
  • Maintain secure systems environments
  • Perform work according to defined ITSM processes including change management, knowledge management, and asset management
  • Create and maintain technical documentation including designs, configurations, processes, and procedures
  • Provide technical assistance and support to users as needed
  • Any additional IT-related tasks required

Job Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in IT, with 3-5 years of experience in a Systems Administrator role
  • 4-year degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related field.  Equivalent work experience may be acceptable in lieu of degree
  • Ability to effectively problem-solve and troubleshoot IT incidents and problems
  • Solid conceptual foundation in Information Security and ITSM
  • Strong writing, communication, and interpersonal skills

Core Technologies (competency required)

  • Windows Server & roles – Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, File Sharing
  • Microsoft application servers – SharePoint, Exchange
  • VMware vSphere or other virtualization platforms
  • IT Service Management systems
  • Microsoft 365 and Office 365
  • Scripting competency (Python, PowerShell, .NET, or others)
