Position Details

The Risk Analyst / Senior Accountant will be working under the direction of the Accounting Team to manage the organization’s comprehensive insurance and risk management processes and other accounting and administrative duties as assigned. 

Core Responsibilities

  • Learn Savion business models and engage with staff on upcoming workstreams to stay on top of potential changes in exposures across the business for Insurance and Accounting purposes.
  • Liaise with the Savion insurance brokerages and affiliate counterparts to ensure that all parties are communicating adequately to support the Savion business model and daily operations.
  • Manage the insurance language review process of contracts and serve as the interface between brokers legal counsel, affiliates, and internal stakeholders as it relates to insurance contractual requirements.  Pivotal in involving appropriate parties, reviewing feedback, and determining the right strategy to pursue.
  • Lead periodic insurance policy exposure update process by working with Accounting, HR, and other respective teams.
  • Review and assesses risk management policies and protocols; makes recommendations and implements modifications and improvements.
  • Performs other accounting and administrative duties as directed.

Education and Experience

  • Prior experience managing insurance policy decision-making and placement required.
  • Experience in the renewable energy industry strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of GAAP or IFRS preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics AX or Dynamics 365 desired.
