Job Description

Savion seeks a highly motivated Market Analyst with passion for renewable energy to join the Market Strategy & Analysis team. The Market Analyst will guide the strategic planning of Savion’s portfolio and will ultimately help shape the company’s plans for development across the United States. The successful applicant will report to the Director of Market Strategy & Analysis and will closely monitor market drivers for solar and battery storage to identify opportunities for growth for Savion’s portfolio, as well as maintain key databases that are used across the company to support project originations and decision-making processes. The successful candidate will be pivotal in formulating and recommending the company’s market strategy and will stay current on all market and technology trends to ensure success.


  • Develop and maintain models for tracking and forecasting solar and battery storage market demand in markets across the United States
  • Identify and assess trends and issues in various US electric power markets, especially as they relate to renewable energy, including:
    • Effects of new and emerging technology
    • Federal and state regulations
    • Mergers and acquisitions
    • Electricity supply and demand
  • Generate, synthesize and analyze research reports to advise mid and long-term strategy
  • Compile and integrate data from multiple sources, including vendors, consultants, investors and company employees
  • Provide strategic leadership and economic analysis to management
  • Create and design worksheets, charts, graphs, memos and other materials suitable for presentation to company ownership and investors

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in one of the following fields: business administration, economics, engineering, mathematics, statistics,
  • Knowledge of standard financial and economic analysis techniques such as quantitative modelling and statistical data modelling
  • Technical skills such as SQL, SAS, Python, C++, VBA
  • Excellent, demonstrable skill with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • At least two years’ experience in energy markets, preferably in a similar role
  • Strong strategic mindset, and the ability to quickly read, review, analyze, and summarize large amounts of information
  • Able to learn new concepts quickly and work independently while often working on multiple initiatives at once
