Position Details

Savion is seeking a fast-learning and highly motivated Financial Analyst or Senior Financial Analyst; someone with a team-first attitude and the ambition to learn the renewable energy business. This person will be a member of the Project Finance team reporting to the Manager of Project Finance. This role is principally focused on project level financial modeling. The ideal candidate must be organized, articulate, analytical and able to manage multiple concurrent priorities. Some travel may be required.

Core Responsibilities

  • Analyze, model and summarize economic profile of assigned portfolio of assets from greenfield to transaction stage
  • Take a leadership role in coordinating with the development team to compile, confirm, and understand all project pricing inputs and mechanics
  • Prepare valuation summaries and lead the economic review with the management team
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting to aid in decision making process for Development, Originations and Transactions teams
  • Support and drive initiatives to streamline and improve the financial pro-forma and stay abreast of shifts within the industry
  • Assist the M&A team in financial modeling and transaction activities as needed

Required Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree with a concentration in economics, finance or related field
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience
  • Excellent skill with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to quickly review, analyze, and summarize large amounts of information
  • Project management skills, including organization and the ability to control multiple processes and tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to clearly and concisely present written and oral information to management

Preferred Additional Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in economics, finance, or related field
  • 1-2 years of tax equity modeling and/or transactions modeling experience
  • 1-3 years of energy industry work experience
